We are happy to announce the RNA granules 2017 meeting in Heidelberg.
Following the great success of the first International Symposium on Stress-Associated RNA Granules in Human Disease and Viral Infection in Halifax 2014, we are pleased to announce that the second meeting, RNA granules 2017, will take place September 10-12th in the new Krehl Clinic of Heidelberg University Hospital, on the Neuenheimer Feld Campus.
RNA granules are a major focus of investigation at the nexus of different fields. Beyond their role in RNA biology and maintenance of cellular homeostasis, they are implicated in infectious diseases, neurological disorders and cancer. The past few years have witnessed an explosion in our understanding of how RNA granules contribute to cellular functions. Recent exciting studies are starting to unravel the molecular composition of different types of RNA granules, the mechanisms by which they contribute to disease and immunity, and the principles driving liquid-liquid phase separation of RNA-binding proteins and RNA granules assembly.
This meeting will bring together experts in cell biology, neurobiology, microbiology and physical chemistry to discuss the latest findings and drive the field forward over oral and poster presentations. Attendance is limited to one hundred participants to foster scientific and social networking.
We look forward to welcoming you all in Heidelberg!
